Benthic Ecology Lab
The Benthic Ecology Lab at Baruch College CUNY studies the structure and functioning of estuarine and freshwater habitats particularly within urban environments. Our recent work has been focused on the ecosystem effects of oyster and salt marsh restoration in New York City.
Our lab has also done extensive research in support of the shellfish aquaculture industry and development of urban aquaculture.
